We’ve read the reports from professionals who believe it’s healthy to to masturbate at work, and heard the rumours surrounding how many people are sneaking away to do just that – but would you be prepared to make masturbation your full time occupation?
UK based adult store LoveWoo is on the hunt for an employee to review sex toys professionally. The full time position (at the company, get your mind out of the gutter) will come with a respectable £28,000 yearly salary, private healthcare (just in case), holiday time and a discount on a gym membership!
The lucky candidate to get the job will be responsible for sex toys, lingerie and games.
A spokesperson from the company told the BBC:
Sex toys range from simple to risqué, and as a responsible provider of a huge catalogue of sex toys, [we] feel it necessary to both have and share a good understanding of all products, and be able to inform the public about all perks and pitfalls.
Giving sound information and advice is truly important to us, and we want to be a platform that gives factual, honest and clear advice.
A survey by Time Out Magazine New York reported that a surprisingly high number of office workers turn to masturbation to relieve stress and boredom while they’re on the job.
Around 39 per cent of people surveyed, both men and women, admitted to pleasing themselves on work premises.
You might think it’s disgusting, but Mark Sergeant, psychology lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, thinks it’s the way forward.
He told Metro in May that a ‘masturbation break’ would be “very effective” at work and a great way to relieve tension and stress.
This was echoed by psychologist and life coach Dr Cliff Arnall:
Certainly taking a masturbation break for boredom or an escape would increase work focus.
He suggested that a masturbation policy might result in “more focus, less aggression, higher productivity and more smiling”.
So if you’re already doing it… Why not get a pay cheque?
Don’t delay, applications close in September.
